Waviness measurement system

Developed to measure the waviness and the geometry of sheet metal of all kinds, for example electrical steel sheet. A 3D sensor delivers data of the highest quality, so that waviness and geometry can be measured quickly and reliably.

Operator software of the waviness measurement system: height profiles across and along the sheet, an image of the surface and a table of the waves detected
The operator software: height profile across and along the sheet, the waves detected with length, height and waviness factor, and the resulting assessment of the coil.

Optional: surface inspection

The system can be extended with a flexible camera and illumination for surface inspection, so that scratches, dents, bumps, coating faults, machining faults and texture faults are detected quickly and reliably.

Adaptive image processing algorithms derive features from the images and weight and classify them automatically on the spot. Learning methods allow the algorithms to be adapted to changes and to new faults, so that the best possible detection rate is maintained. With machine learning we optimise and train algorithms on the data made available to the system.

In operation at a customer site

A 3D sensor delivers data of the highest quality. Adaptive image processing algorithms derive features from it and weight and classify them automatically at the same time. Learning methods allow the algorithms to be adapted to changes and to new faults.

Free and without obligation

Send us your inspection task. We will tell you whether it can be solved.

A specification, a defect catalogue, samples or images are enough. In a first free feasibility assessment we evaluate the task, settle the open questions and plan the next steps with you.

Consulting, training and support are part of the deal.
