High-performance machine vision in quality inspection, a cooperation with Spectra
The online edition of the magazine Automatisierung und Technik describes what a perfect symbiosis of hardware and software can look like, using our MTE QSS 2D/3D linear system as the example. The system performs robust measurements of waviness and geometry as well as surface inspection on sheet metal of all kinds.
Math&Tech develops a handheld device for the quality control of composites
The quality control of machined composite materials is largely carried out without any network connection. As a result, deviations in quality go unnoticed and changes in the process cannot be responded to in time.
Math & Tech Engineering has now developed an inspection device that closes this gap. Our mobile AICC 2.0 captures damage on components semi-automatically and with minimal effort, which makes it particularly suitable for complex CFRP parts in small and medium batches.
The device is integrated into networked production through a local server and a cloud-based one. By creating interfaces to machine tools and components, and by developing and implementing self-learning algorithms, process control and quality control gain in transparency, reproducibility and documentation of the measurement results. The AICC 2.0 thus opens the door to digitalised quality assurance in manufacturing, particularly for smaller companies.
Video analysis with HALCON algorithms, an extension of MathTechStudio
MathTechStudio has been extended. Video data, from files or from streams, can now be loaded directly. It is also possible to process video data straight away with HALCON algorithms, in real time or offline, integrated either directly or as HALCON procedures through our machine learning interface. All current HALCON versions, such as the HALCON Progress and HALCON Steady releases, are supported.

Since July we have been an official solution partner of IDS Imaging GmbH. For the IDS HALCON, uEye and NXT product lines we were among the first partners admitted to this programme. We look forward to working together.
