Almost any marking, almost any surface
By combining the right image acquisition and illumination techniques with machine learning, the MTE Reader can read almost every kind of marking. This includes printed, embossed, laser-marked and engraved characters on diffuse, reflective and even textured surfaces. Teaching in new products is straightforward and does not require a machine vision specialist. Once an object type has been taught in, it is recognised automatically from then on.
This flexibility comes from machine learning, applied specifically to building and optimising inspection software. Learning methods produce a flexible system that adapts to changing conditions while maintaining a high recognition accuracy, so that existing evaluation methods can be adjusted to new faults, new products and changed production conditions.
Operator interface
Using modern user interface technology such as the Windows Presentation Framework, we build programs that are both easy to use and pleasant to look at. The advantages of WPF are plain: far wider design possibilities, animation and 3D. WPF is hardware-accelerated and therefore uses the processor of the graphics card. Good third-party control libraries such as ActiPro are available as well.
